My Week in Books (25/11/12)

This week’s selections . . .

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

  1. The Convert by Elizabeth Robins
Novel adapted from the Edwardian stage play ‘Votes For Women’. A surprisingly open and radical approach by Ibsen actress Robins to the suffrage movement.
  2. Dracula by Bram Stoker
This week’s text for my Madness & Sexuality class is the classic bad boy of Gothic Lit
  3. Dare Me by Megan Abbott
Described by Amazon as “a searing novel about the allure of adulthood and the dark heart of adolescence: the fierce bonds between girls, their bitter rivalries, and their power to transform one another”. This should be fun.
  4. Moranthology by Caitlin Moran
It’s beautiful and it’s finally mine *evil laughter*

So, over to you! What have you been reading this week?

  1. Awesome review and page! I would love a review of one of my books and/or an interview?
